Lighted Optical Battery/Antifreeze Refractometers
These lighted optical battery/antifreeze refractometers are versatile and revolutionary used in a variety of applications. These models are designed to measure either Propylene Glycol or Ethylene Glycol Antifreezes and Battery Fluid. Checking these fluids will allow you to measure your radiator and battery's performance. These refractometers will insure that all is working properly, and not causing problems (like rust potential, prone to freezing, poor charging, etc.) Automatic Temperature Compensation ("ATC") allows for accurate readings in fluctuating environments (like outdoors); units without ATC will be more inaccurate the further away from 68°F the temperature becomes. These units are also fantastic for other applications like testing aviation grade hydraulic oils (like Skydrol), Glycol-based heat transfer fluids, and fire resistant hydraulic fluids used in die-casting or foundry applications. These units are made of sturdy machined aluminum and durable plastic eyepiece and knurled finger grip. Unlike other refractometers, these models are unique in that they have an INTERNAL LIGHT! Using (3) 1.5 volt button batteries these units make readings possible no matter the lighting situation. Price includes operation manual and foam-lined hardcase.
