Self-Cleaning Process pH/ORP Electrodes and Mounting Kits

Use these self cleaning, double junction electrodes for both ATC (automatic temperature compensated) and MTC (manual temperature compensated) applications. These electrodes are ideal for use in solutions that may abrade or coat conventional electrodes. The durable, double junction, flat surfaced sensor minimizes the possibility of reference clogging, even in oily waste water when measuring samples flow at an adequate velocity (typically 3 to 5 GPM). These electrodes are fast responding (95% in less than 5 seconds) over the full 0-14 pH range and are suitable for use from 10-76° C (50-170° F) at 100 psig. Wetted materials consist of CPVC, polyethylene, vitron and glass (ORP probes also include platinum). Choice of ATC (automatic temperature compensated) or MTC (manual temperature compensated) kits. ATC kits are especially applicable when solutions are outside of 4 to 10 pH or 15-35° C range. Electrode installation is easy - a simple quarter turn installs or removes the probe from its process mount; its double 0-ring seals the mounting assembly and the cable.

2. Select your mounting preference; in-line, by-pass (side stream) or submersion. In-line Mounting: ideal for piping systems where flow can be shut off for electrode maintenance and where flow rates match the application's needs; for example, turbulent flow is needed in self-cleaning application. A simple, re-useable 3/4" MNPT gland is used to mount the electrode in mating opening. By-pass (side stream) Line Mounting; allow electrodes to be mounted in convenient locations and are particularly useful in applications involving oily coatings, low suspended solids contents or moderately viscous solutions. This mounting hardware allows the velocity past the electrode to be controlled. In the 3/4" flow cell's restricted 1-4" flow channel each GPM flow provides a 2 ft/sec velocity past the electrode's sensing surface; flow rates of 3 to 5 GPM provide adequate cleaning velocities. In viscous solution applications these flow rates may be difficult to achieve; however, lower rates still provide flow in sheer to assure that fresh material is at the measuring surface. Submersion Mounting; useful for making measurements in tanks, flumes, and sewer lines. It is well suited for applications with high suspended solids or where flocculating operations require low velocities. It is also useful for coating problems in tanks which have high agitation.

3. Select your cable length: 10 ft and 25 ft cable length are standard; however, special lengths are available. All electrode cable is terminated with a BNC connector; other connectors are available.

Price of kits include electrode, cable (10' or 25') with BNC connector which connects to the meter plus the mounting hardware assembly. ATC kits also include Corning (phono) jack for temperature connection. ORP kits do not include ATC.

Standard ATC kits contain a 100 ohm platinum RTD sensor. Other resistance values for automatic temperature compensation are available; when inquiring specify the ohms value at 25 ° C.
