  HI 8043 is a versatile D.O. meter developed for use in the school laboratory. A common 9 volt battery supplies the unit with up to 100 hours of continuous power making it possible to be transported anywhere. There is also a low battery warning that eliminates the possibility of taking an erroneous reading due to low power. The simplicity of this meter is its greatest asset. Simply select the °C, O₂, or STB mode and the polarographic probe, with a built-in temperature sensor, will supply you with accurate measurements. The STB mode is particularly useful to keep the current flowing through the probe which is continuously polarized and ready for use. The probe has a conic shape making it perfect for use in BOD5 applications. Price includes meter, sensor, 2 spare membranes and instruction manual.
