The Model 966 portable turbidimeter quickly and precisely measures the clarity or cloudiness of any type of fluid. The 966 is a true nephelometer, testing at the officially mandated 90° angle between its photo-detector and incident light beam. Display gives results in NTUs (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) over the full span of turbidity in 3 ranges. The 966 is easy to use - just insert the tube containing the sample, press a button and read the test result on the digital display. The direct-reading digital display is drift-free; also features automatic error free decimal shift and low battery signal.

The 966 is factory standardized. To periodically verify standardization as required by USEPA, use the supplied permanent calibration standards and adjust if necessary with two convenient controls on front panel. Automatic shut-off saves battery life; optional 110VAC or 220VAC adaptors are available. Model 966-Rl (110VAC) and 966-R2 (220VAC) feature recorder output; they are provided with the AC adapter. An optional flow-through cell is available for use with the 966-Rl and 966-R2 for continuous monitoring applications. Price includes turbidimeter, package of 0 and 40 NTU standards, 6 sample tubes, batteries, rugged foam-lined carrying case and instructions.
