The state-of-the-art in portable refractometers, the Model AR200 digitally measures critical angle, reflected light refractive index of % Solids as Brix over a broad range - 1.3300-1.5600 (0-95% Brix)- with exacting accuracy to ±0.0001 (0.1% Brix).  This instrument uses high resolution (3600 cells), patented, linear scanned array imaging to achieve a range and accuracy comparable with most benchtop laboratory instruments.  Readings are displayed on a direct reading LCD panel.  An IR port allows 2-way communications with a personal computer.  Software features include 1 or multi-point calibration (set and span), delay timer, temperature equilibration sensing and reading/data storage.  Alternate scales are available via custom channel programming to meet your testing requirements, i.e., corn syrup, glycols, salinity.  Automatic temperature compensation from 32-110°F (0-60°C) enhances accuracy without the need for temperature correction calculations.  The instrument's optics and sensing element are mounted in a fully sealed, ruggedly constructed, diecast frame.  A molded, completely sealed Valox (GE) housing provides environmental protection and chemical resistance.  An auto/sleep mode extends battery life, and low battery detection is built in.
