Kernco's clinical refractometers are designed for quick determination of serum protein, urine specific gravity,
and refractive index in laboratory and nursing environments. Accurate measurements of total serum protein
and urine specific gravity can be obtained easily and quickly with only a few drops of solution. The refractive
index scale allows for measurements of dissolved solids in other solutions, such as medicine for injections,
chemical reagents and secretions; also provides detection of drug tampering. Two optical models to choose from.

General Information
Wide range of applications.  Typical applications include determining the concentration levels of urine specific
gravity, total serum protein as well as refractive index.

Measure percent concentrations in the laboratory or at patients location with laboratory accuracy.  As small,
light and simple to use as optical refractometers but with a digital readout (0.75" LCD display) to eliminate
misreadings that can occur with the optical refractometer.  The sophisticated microprocessor provides automatic
calibration, automatic shutoff after 3 minutes, a low battery indicator, and a low power consumption resulting in
over 2,000 tests per battery.  Water resistant design protects the electronics from wet environments and
makes for easy clean ups.  This model features automatic temperature compensation.  Model comes with
battery, instruction book and carrying case.

The TS Meter-D is the first clinical digital, hand-held refractometer that performs as well as most laboratory-
