Model 8427 Use this multi-featured pH and mV simulator to calibrate your pH and ORP meters and transmitters. The Model 8427 provides the theoretical voltage values of seven pH readings and four ORP/mV signals. Use the temperature dial (0-50° C) to set the solution temperature at which you want to simulate pH values to assure a temperature compensated signal for accurate calibration. The compensation range is adequate for most process and field applications. Other features include a low battery indicator, a leakage indicator to detect bad cable connection and a high impedance button. All connections to the simulator are by means of a BNC connector. Price includes a BNC to BNC interconnector (36"), battery, and manual.

When a pH meter has incorrect readings, most likely the problem lies within the electrode. In order to verify
this problem, the pHault Finder can test and calibrate a pH meter by simulating the electrode signal from
0-14 pH in increments of 2 pH units. A high-low impedance switch helps determine if the pH meter's high
impedance has been compromised and also allows calibration of low impedance recorders and meters.

4-20mA AMPEROMETER, SIMULATOR AND CALIBRATOR ALL
COMBINED IN A SINGLE MODEL

HI931002 is a portable instrument designed by the plant Repair and Maintenance
Operators for the RMO! This portable simulator can monitor and regulate 4-20 mA
from practically any process meter with or without voltage generator. 
The communication bus from process instrumentation can be simulated in any of the
following modes:

1.  Passive Dirve/Calibrator Mode:
HI931002 can set the 4-20 mA current values and the user can then adjust the process
meter accordingly.
2.  Active Drive/Simulator Mode:
HI931002 simulates the correct current values as above in addition to providing power to the bus
communication. Power is provided through an external adapter (included) which is connected to
the simulator.  This mode is ideal to calibrate chart recorders, pressure transducer or current
indicators.
3. Passive Measurement/Tester Mode:
HI931002 practically becomes an Amperometer.  It measures and displays the mA (or pH) values transmitted
by the process meter.
4.  Active Measurement/Tester Mode:
Same as 3 above in addition to providing voltage to the 4-20 mA bus

HI931002 can practically measure incoming current, provide power and simulate 4-20 mA output to calibrate
your process meter.  A large LCD shows values on the display.  You can select between drive and
measurement modes through a switch on the front panel and two dials allow for quick adjustment of the current.

Another innovative feature of HI931002 is that the battery only serves to power the display and the calibrator
continues to operate without it in the passive modes.
