TACHOMETERS
Contact Type - digital LCD or LED readouts Measure RPM and FPM. Comes with pointed rubber tip as well as cupped tip for contact with shaft to measure RPM. Comes with circumference wheel for measurements of FPM, MPM & YPM. Contact/Non-Contact Type - digital type to measure RPM with the pointed rubber tip or cup tip accessories. This unit can measure lineal speeds such as FPM, MPM or YPM by using the appropriate rubber tip accessories. Also measures RPM without contacting the shaft. Non-Contact Tachometer - measure RPM without contact the rotating shaft by placing reflective tape onto a section of the shaft to be measured. Some models have laser feature. Combination Photo Tachometer/Stroboscope - can be used as a non-contact photo tachometer to measure RPM by using the reflective tape. Strobe feature allows unit to measure RPM as well as ability to freeze motion to observe rotating shafts in slow motion. Allows observer to check cyclic motion on machines for erratic or misalignments.
